Wondering if your child is constipated?
Answer our simple yes or no questions to find out.
Behaviour and discipline play a major role in childhood constipation. Creating an organised toilet routine by encouraging your child to use the toilet at a similar time each day will help. Reward them for using the toilet during playtime – to discourage the behaviour of ‘holding in’. And ultimately, a fibre-rich well-balanced diet with enough hydration is extremely important for children.

Watery, no solid pieces. Entirely Liquid
Sausage-shaped but lumpy
Like a sausage but with cracks on the surface

Soft blobs with clear-cut edges
Fluffy pieces with ragged edges, a mushy stool
Separate hard lumps, like nuts (hard to pass)
